Abstract: Results from many territorial research projects conducted by the CLA in rural and mountain areas of the province of Santiago de Cuba show that primary schoolchildren from these areas do not master yet all the morphological and lexical corresponding to their school level, which negatively affects their academic performance.Considered that educational games here proposed contain valuable language and pedagogical fundamentals, it is possible to state that they can be presented as an interactive multimedia to improve these students’ lexical competence. Software currently implemented in primary schools throughout Cuba, particularly the one used to teach Computing, can facilitate this multimedia introduction and spreading in schools located in rural areas belonging to the Turquino Plan in Santiago de Cuba.
