In the morning hours of January 15th, 2018, the book entitled Lexicology and Lexicography Studies. A tribute to Eloina Miyares Bermúdez, was presented at the Heredia Cultural Center, in the presence of Elba Rosa Pérez Montoya, Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, the First Deputy Minister, PhD. Fernándo González Bermúdez, the representative of the territorial office of the CITMA (Spanish acronym for Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment) in Santiago de Cuba, Zelma Corona Ochoa, MSc. and other national and territorial executives.
The book presentation was made by PhD. in Linguistic Sciences, Alex Muñoz Alvarado, a researcher at the Center for Applied Linguistics (CLA). PhD. Leonel Ruiz Miyares, the book compiler and director of the CLA, was also present at the presentation ceremony. The eventwas held within the context of the celebration of Cuba´s National Science Day in Santiago de Cuba, a province that was chosen to host the national ceremony taking into account the satisfactory achievements attained in 2017.
Nearly a hundred persons took part in the event, who, at the end of the presentation had the opportunity to purchase the book.
