It stimulates deaf and hearing impaired people\u2019s reading and writing, improves spelling, and acquaints them with the use of computer techniques.The system was used in the provincial School for Deaf Children \u00a8Eduardo Mesa Llul\u00a8 of Santiago de Cuba. It received the <strong>Annual Prize<\/strong> for <strong>Socially Most Relevant Research<\/strong>, awarded by the Chancellor of the University of Oriente. This work also won a <strong>prize<\/strong> at the <strong>5th Latin American Conference on Special Education<\/strong> held in Havana in 1996. An article on this computer system has been published.
