{"id":205,"date":"2016-05-26T20:12:21","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T20:12:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wordpress\/?page_id=205"},"modified":"2018-09-25T19:49:14","modified_gmt":"2018-09-25T19:49:14","slug":"estructura","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cla.cu\/en\/estructura\/","title":{"rendered":"Structure"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"art-PostContent\">\r\n<div class=\"art-article\">\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Centre for Applied Linguistics comprises three groups:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n\t<li class=\"rtejustify\">Applied Linguistics Group<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"rtejustify\">Computational Linguistics Group<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"rtejustify\">Management Group<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Applied Linguistics and Computational Linguistics groups implement research projects, mostly descriptive studies of linguistic aspects in the colloquial and learned speech, especially of Cuban journalists and schoolchildren. Based on these studies, we prepare dictionaries, glossaries, methodologies, books, software, etc., whose main objective is to correct faults detected in studies. The second group provides the first group with computational tools to conduct research more effectively and smoothly. The Management Group, in turn, works to guarantee the Centre\u2019s research infrastructure.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CLA also has a Scientific Council chaired by the Director of the Centre. One of the council\u2019s members is an Honorary Permanent Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba, and a Doctor of Philology.
