Abstract: Nowadays, the use of computing techniques has boosted different projects in which the knowledge of other subjects can be applied. This project aims at proposing the development of a system to evaluate texts written in Spanish and Basque. This last language has been included because experts from the Faculty of Informatics in the University of the Basque Country have worked with us in the first version of this study, and they will apply results from this second one. Besides, due to the multilingual nature of this system we are open to include other languages in it. High costs of this kind of systems make them very rare and, in fact, this is the only in which the aforementioned languages have ever been analyzed. It is used to evaluate word spelling and writing skills in primary, secondary and senior high school students, applying a system of evaluation based on a Client-Server Architecture supported by Web technology. We will employ a method of analysis provided by a Suite for Natural Language Processing developed by the company DATYS-SC and language-related indicators provided by specialists from the Centre for Applied Linguistics will be also included, thus favouring comprehensive evaluation of texts.
