Researchers from the Centre for Applied Linguistics Participate in the Annual Academic Week in Mexico

Distinguished researchers Eloina Miyares Bermudez and Nancy Cristina Alamo Suarez were invited to participate in the Annual Academic and Cultural Week held at the Faculty of Colima, Mexico in 2007

In the conference, both researchers taught master lectures on the work developed in Cuba to favour enhancement of spelling in students, using methods that prevent and eradicate misspellings. They also taught a workshop course on the book Vacuna Ortográfica Val-Cuba by Doctor Vitelio Ruiz Hernandez and Senior Researcher Eloina Miyares Bermudez. These Cuban researchers being invited to this conference evidence the prestige Cuba has gained in the field of language and pedagogical research and has contribute to strengthen the scientific cooperation ties existing between the Cuban and Mexican institutions.
