Doctors Xavier Artola and Xavier Arregi, academics and researchers from the University of the Basque Country visited the Centre for Applied Linguistics (CLA) of Santiago de Cuba from February to March 2010.
For many years, the University of the Basque Country and the CLA have maintained scientific cooperation relations resulting in the creation of the electronic version of the Diccionario Básico Escolar, among other works.
During their stay in the country, the two Basque specialists and members of the CLA worked in the preparation of the Base de Datos Léxica del Español de Cuba and established new cooperation projects. (March 2010)
