Summary: This book is the first of its kind based on the Cuban vocabulary. It is a completely new and original book containing Cuban schoolchildren’s vocabulary, arranged alphabetically right to left (reverse order). In addition, it puts forward new techniques that enhance spelling teaching methods. Anagrams —new words obtained by rearranging the letters of another word— increase schoolchildren’s vocabulary, and enable them to develop their analytical and abstract thinking skills while making associations to form new words. Examples: paso-sopa-posa-sapo, libar-abril-libra, etc. The book has been used with great success to prepare exercises for elementary and junior high students. A scientific article on the book has been published. The book was published in 2000. It was prepared in collaboration with Spanish language scholars from the Genoa section of the Institute of Computational Linguistics of Pisa, Italy.
