Since 1998 the Centre for Applied Linguistics has offered Spanish courses to students from different universities in the world, who not only acquire deep knowledge of the Spanish language but also can be better acquainted with the Cuban society, its culture, history and customs. The impact of these courses can be seen in the attendance for seven consecutive years of students from the University of Manchester, England and other Spanish language students from other places in Europe and the United States.
