A new round of the Spanish Language and Cuban Culture Course started on March 6, 2017 and will last until June. This course is held annually at the Center for Applied Linguistics of Santiago de Cuba. Five students from the University of Würsburg, Germany have enrolled for the course this year.
The occasion will be fruitful for practicing and validating the new course on the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE, Spanish acronym), designed on a task-based approach resulting from one of the research projects developed at the Center and completed in 2016.
Apart from improving their knowledge of the Spanish language, students will be able to have a broad outlook of the Cuban culture, included history, art, music, etc. Visits to museums and other places of historical and cultural interest in Santiago de Cuba will also be part of the program.
