Doctor Leonel Ruiz Miyares was invited in 2009 to teach a cycle of lectures as part of the Master’s Course in Natural Language Processing held at the University of France-Comté, Besançon, France.
The cycle of lectures was developed from February 12 to May 9 that year and Doctor Ruiz Miyares’s invitation constituted a recognition to the work he, and especially the Centre for Applied Linguistics, have carried out in favour of the development of this specialty in Cuba. This exchange also contributed to strengthen the professional and scientific cooperation relations among colleagues from these two nations. (February-May 2009)
