The Center for Applied Linguistics (CLA, Spanish acronym) based in Santiago de Cuba held the intramural Science and Technology Forum on September 23, 2020, with all staff attending.
The research papers presented were: Proposal of a communication strategy to promote foreign participation in the International Symposium on Social Communication hosted by CLA in Santiago de Cuba, by Adriana Viñas Domínguez, BA; The lemmatization of the fifth edition of the Basic School Dictionary, by Daniel Castro Castro, PhD, and Leonel Ruiz Miyares, PhD; and Multilingual crossword generator with domain adjustment, by Llinet Benavides César, MSc., Emanuel Bolaños López, BA, Daniel Castro Castro, PhD, and Leonel Ruiz Miyares, PhD. During the forum discussions, attendees acknowledged the value of these studies and the importance of their application both for the Center and for society.
The jury, chaired by Nancy Álamo Suárez, BA, and made up of Humberto Ocaña Dayar, PhD, and Fidelia Pozo Pozo, BA, highlighted the scientific level of the presentations made, which confirms the notable scientific and social impact of CLA’s projects (September 23, 2020)
