Young staff members Rolando Urrutia Cleger and Javier Tamayo Lozada from the Center for Applied Linguistics (CLA), along with other young employees from various research centers and the Territorial Divisionof CITMA (Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment)climbedthe Pico Turquino on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Young Communist League. The fruitful day began with the ascent to the highest elevation of Cuba at 4:00 a.m. The more agile hikers reached the toparound 11:00 a.m. This activity brought them closerto the history of our country and posedan opportunity to pay tribute to our heroes and martyrs, National Hero José Martí and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
